Is the consultation really free?
Yes. The first 30-minute consultation is free and there's no obligation to retain us afterwards. If you'd like our help, we'll explain our fees before any work begins.
How does the consultation take place?
By phone. We call you at the number you give us, at the time you booked. If you sent a request instead, we call you to set a time.
What should I have ready?
Any notice, ticket, claim, contract, letters or emails related to your matter, plus key dates such as a hearing or deadline. It's fine if you don't have everything.
Is what I tell you confidential?
Yes. We treat what you share during your consultation as confidential.
Can you help if I'm not in the Toronto area?
Yes. We work with clients across Ontario, and the consultation is by phone, so it doesn't matter where in Ontario you are.
Does booking mean you're representing me?
No. A consultation doesn't create a paralegal–client relationship. That only begins once you decide to retain us and we confirm it in writing.
